Dr. Jeffrey DeSano II, D.O. was born and raised in the Rochester, MI area. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan with a major in Cellular and Molecular Biology, graduating with High Honors. He then went on to attend medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He returned to the Metro Detroit area to pursue his surgical training in general surgery through Michigan State University. It was during this time that Dr. DeSano developed a passion for the aesthetic and reconstructive aspects of plastic surgery. He subsequently completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at Beaumont Health – Royal Oak/Farmington Hills. During his residency, he trained with many well-respected, award-winning reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeons including his mentor, Dr. Mune Gowda, M.D.
Dr. DeSano has given numerous presentations at multiple local, regional, and national conferences. He has several publications in the fields of breast oncology and reconstructive surgery. His professional affiliations include the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Dr. DeSano values truly personalized and comprehensive care. His surgical interests include breast reconstruction, facial aesthetics and body contouring. He desires to serve the metro Detroit community and strives to provide his patients with the best care possible.
